The research of Laser Systems Laboratory aims to advance the understanding of the laser systems and devices from both applied and fundamental viewpoints.
Current areas of interest include:
- the properties of semiconductor quantum dot lasers and systems for biomedical applications and telecommunications
- LIDARs and optical sensors for ecological monitoring, security control, and oil/gas deposits detection
- laser systems for free space optical communications
We exploit experimental and theoretical approaches to address fundamental challenges about complex laser systems which provides an insight to develop multiple application projects.
